Summer Vacation Work
Barringtons attends all the Chartered Accountants Employment evenings which is a great way to meet the staff and discuss the work that we do.
Each year we take around twenty undergraduates on for vacation work from the beginning of December till mid February. The undergraduates are with Barringtons for a period of three to four weeks. These positions are highly sought after, as it provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals to get a taste of working in a CA firm.
Our interview process to obtain the best undergraduates is unique. We do not have written tests or psychological assessments! From the résumés that we receive, we select people to attend a cocktail function. We invite staff members from each level to attend to meet and greet the applicants and then have a 'say' in who will be successful. No use just talking to the directors in this situation!
At the completion of the vacation work, we offer employment to those who have excelled during their time with us.
